Congratulations to Red Clay's First Spanish Dual Language Immersion Graduates!

Congratulations to Red Clay's First Spanish Dual Language Immersion Graduates!

On May 1, the Red Clay community gathered at A.I. duPont High School to celebrate a historic milestone—the graduation of the first cohort of students from the Spanish Dual Language Immersion pathway.

This exceptional group began their educational journey 13 years ago as Kindergarteners at Lewis Elementary School. They continued developing bilingual excellence at Skyline Middle School and successfully completed the program at A.I. du Pont High School.

Throughout their academic careers, these students demonstrated remarkable dedication and achievement. Highlights include completing AP Spanish Language and Culture as freshmen, participating in the University of Delaware’s Bridge Program, earning nine college credits, and attaining the Delaware Certificate of Multiliteracy for their high-level proficiency in English and Spanish.

Their accomplishments are a powerful testament to the value of dual language education in preparing students for academic success, college readiness, and global citizenship.

We proudly celebrate these trailblazers and look forward to the bright futures they will lead. ¡Felicidades!
